HELLO WORLD... its me!
Kai Xavier Fisher
8 lbs, 4 oz, 20 inches long
my mom and dad went to the hospital last night, after feasting on a
delicious sushi dinner. we arrived and checked in at 11:30pm.
3 hours later, at 2:48am, i was born by natural childbirth. my mom and
i did a very good job and we were the talk of the delivery ward. i hear
my mom is as tough as they come... really quiet and calm too.
i have red curly hair. (addendum - only curly when wet)
my vital signs are strong. i got 9 out of 10 on the reaction tests
taken 1 minute and 5 minutes after birth. my A negative cord blood was
highly coveted by the staff and taken away for donation.
i went straight to skin on skin contact with my mom, then dad held me
while they finished up with mom, and then i spent the next hour latched
on to mom. i taught myself how to nurse already.
then dad held me for about 1/2 hour while mom and i slept. then i went
to the nursery for a bath and mom and dad slept for a couple hours in
the recovery room.
now i am with mom while dad drives to the house to get my grandma and my
big sister siri, who already knows my name.
